Volunteer Work Week: June 28–July 3, 2021
We are looking for a small crew of Volunteers to give our historic buildings some needed TLC. The crew will be led by master carpenter Brian Ward in performing basic tasks. Experience with building maintenance may be helpful but not required! We will need people to help with all sorts of tasks and general camp care indoors and out. Food and housing are provided. We welcome local and visiting volunteers.
Brian Thomas Ward is a master carpenter with 27 years of experience in coastal Maine spanning multiple disciplines within the boatbuilding and homebuilding industries. Brian has managed and collaborated on numerous and varied projects of up to $5M in value. Throughout his career Brian has enjoyed pursuing many projects involving the restoration of historic properties in the region. Brian’s rural upbringing and varied experience in the field meshes well with groups and individuals who get excited about the value of heritage and craftsmanship.
We are extremely grateful for the support of the Fritz and Susan Onion, Kennebec Savings Bank and all our individual donors for making this much needed work possible. If you would like to make a donation to help fund our three-year infrastructure project, you can donate here.
